Our understanding of Mission & Vision rests on the basis that God in the primary instance called us and gave us a Mission – a mission to be His witnesses in the world. Secondly, that our Vision arises out of this inspired sense of mission and the vision should therefore conform to God’s will and to the mission which is His mission.
 
   
 
Our Holy Mission
The Diocese of George believes that it is called by God and is being sent out into the world by Him, to bring people to be followers/disciples of Jesus in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and to bring them to understand and accept the teaching of Jesus in a holistic way, knowing that God is with His people to the end of time.

  Parish History:  est. 1855

The parish is 151 years young. The land was donated by George Rex. Two church buildings stand upon the land, the original, which is now called the Small Church and the larger Church which was hugged from black and white sandstone which was completed in 1935. The stone was cut by two stone masons from Scotland. Most of the church was built using local talent and contains many wooden carved panels and decorative woodwork made from ironwood and other local timber.
